Dreher Custom Cycles Officially opened summer of 2013, but Derek Dreher (owner and founder) has been around motorcycles a lot longer than that. Ever since he was a little boy he was on something with a motor. His dad had him flat track racing at the age of 5 and he was instantly hooked.
Derek worked at his parents’ shop “Dreher Collision Center” by his dad’s side since he was a little kid learning sheet metal fabricating and painting. As the years progressed so did Derek’s skills. After High School Derek tried the whole college thing and realized it just wasn’t for him. He wanted to use his hands and create works of art.
In 2005 at the age of 19, Derek called Big Bear Choppers and ordered a Devil’s Advocate motorcycle kit. Derek was on his own when it came to putting this bike together. No one he knew had any idea! Derek learned on his own and after a long 8 months the bike was finally completed. After building this bike Derek realized that this was going to be his passion.
